The status of fresh markets in Dhaka

The report, "The Status of fresh markets in Dhaka," has been jointly developed by World Bank and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This report provides a comprehensive insight into the current scenario of Dhaka's fresh markets. The rapid assessment in this report is complemented by jointly produced qualitative reports that cover institutional set-up, market's governance, and the food safety aspect of fresh markets. The report will be helpful for the urban planners and the policymakers to develop a long-term strategic vision for Dhaka through the much-needed discussion on the improvement of physical conditions as well as operational aspects of fresh markets.
